Guidelines for Submitting to Artella's "PassionPoetry" Newsletter

About Artella

Artella is a magazine, support network, and lively community for writers, artists, and creative spirits.

Our "PassionPoetry" Newsletter is a monthly newsletter sent to our large list of poets, and those interested in poetry.

We are seeking short articles (approximately 600-1000 words) on topics of interest to poets. Examples include, but are not limited to:
  • Articles about writing poetry (any aspect)

  • Articles about reading and appreciating poetry

  • Articles connecting poetry to other creative arts (visual art, dance, music)
Please note that our tone is generally upbeat, artistic, inspiring, fun. Authors retain copyright of any work published in any of our magazines, e-zines, or newsletters. We glady accept reprints, provided you hold the reprint rights; however, please provide information regarding an article's previous publication.

Authors receive a $25 gift certificate in the Artella Storefront in exchange for publication.

Submission Instructions

Please send completed articles pasted in the body of an email to customer-service@artellaland.com. In the subject of the email, please write "Article submission", followed by your name. The first part of the email should include the following general information:
  • The title of the article
  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • If this article is a reprint, information about previous publication
  • A one-paragraph bio (4 sentences max) After you have entered this general information, paste the full article in the body of the email. Emails with attachments will not be accepeted.

    You will receive a confirmation email to notify you that your article has been received. Typical response time is 4 weeks, though if we have an immediate need for your article, we may move much more quickly than that.

    We are eager to receive your submissions...and please make yourself at home within Artella's creative family!
