Welcome to the
Dear Muses Column
by Jill Badonsky

Dear Muses,

How do I go about finding a support group that shares my vision for my future? I don't have a lot of friends and I don't really know how I should go about making new ones. What do you suggest?

Support Searcher

Dear Support-Searcher,

We will give that to Muse Song, The Muse of Encouragement and Good Company. She says:

"First you have to be sure that you are good company for yourself. Once you've mastered that...then look at groups and classes there are out there both in person and on the internet and join. What appeals to you? Listen to your body and join in. Then you stay committed, because the feeling of belonging doesn’t happen overnight...As a species, mortals are looking to connect more with other mortals in the current pool of mass consciousness - so you are in the flow."

Audacity, The Muse of Courage and Uninhibited Expression would like to chime in.

"HEY! Jill (the muse channeler), and Denise Mihalik are starting a 12-week on-line/on-the-phone class at the end of August - 12 weeks is a wonderful amount of time to get to know some fellow tribe members. Click here. Jill and Marney will be teaching a Sub-Kid-tion of fun classes soon to be announced. And all the offerings you see here at Artella have led to supportive friendships between its members...these offerings seem to attract the most wonderful mortals around. "

From Jill:

When I was leaving the corporate world and seeking new friends, I took an improv comedy class and almost started crying because I had found my tribe. Twelve years later several of those people are still close friends. Take classes or gravitate toward groups that do things that interest, inspire and energize you.

Signed,

Jill and the Muses
