Articulation 8-15-03
August 15, 2003
Hi ~

You may have noticed the delay in this week's Articulation...some of you even wrote me to ask about it, which really made me feel good. :-)

Between taking Wednesday off to celebrate my birthday, and then having the power problems yesterday and today, I got a little behind. But better late than never, right?

I dedicate this week's offering, A Tree's Dream, to the memory of my wonderful grandmother, Ruth Laughman, who passed away yesterday. I hope there is something in its message that will inspire your own colors to come forth in the coming days. To view A Tree's Dream, click here!

Midsummer Fun!
The winner of the Articulation scavenger hunt drawing is Helene Gold, who will receive two free issues of Artella! Thanks to all who played.

Last week's SUMMER FUN was the "Midsummer Night's Discount" on the Artella e-course, Writes & Passages: A Guide to Becoming an "Every Day" Writer. The discount officially expires today, August 15, but because of the power problems, I'm keeping it up on the Web site through the weekend. The course is usually $29.99, but until Sunday you can enroll for just $11.99, which is an all-time low price for this course. With this 60% discount, you get daily support for your writing dreams for less than 40 cents a day!

To read more and sign up, take a look at the workshops page and scroll down to the bottom to read about Writes and Passages and enroll in the course.

Artella News!

1. Artella's PASSION out in the world! I sent out Artella 3 issues a week ago, so if you haven't received yours yet, it should arrive very shortly. Hope you are enjoying it. Many thanks to all of the talented contributors whose work graced this issue. And I offer splendid thanks to those who have written me with comments about the issue...it's wonderful to hear from you!

2. FREE Creative Workshop! My next free teleworkshop, WordJazz Poetry: A Play Date with Words and Your Creative Spirit, is on Monday, August 25th, from 8:30-10:00pm EST. You can reserve your spot right away by sending a blank email to WordJazzPoetry@ArtellaWordsAndArt.com or visit the workshops page (see link, above) for more information.

Artful Links!
This is a wonderful idea to make the world a better place through art! Found Art is a scavenger-hunt-like project where 1500 artists are leaving tiny bits of art around their community for unknowing strangers to find...which, in turn, brings them to visit the Found Art Web site and keep the cycle going. What a great concept. It's similar to the Letterboxing project that we've mentioned before, as well. What an easy way to spread some delight around!

Here's an article in USA Today about Found Art. Many thanks to Deb Silva for introducing me to this very cool concept.

Sending you colors to wrap around those you love.
